23/06/15 Avintia Racing MotoGP Grand prior award of the Netherlands
The MotoGP World Championship travels this weekend to Holland to play the eighth date of 2015 on the mythical circuit of Assen, the only one that remains on the calendar since the Championship began in 1949. The Avintia Racing Team drivers become very motivated after the race in Barcelona, although for very different reasons. Héctor Barberá remains leader of the Open category, but he left Montmelo with zero points in his locker after suffering mechanical problems during the race. Why reach Assen arranged to show that he is the strongest in Open and try to increase its advantage in the interim on French Loris Baz. Teammate Mike Di Meglio was their first points of the season at Catalunya, and this weekend its objective will be to maintain the streak to finish back among the top fifteen.
As it is tradition, the Dutch TT will be held Saturday in Assen, by what the MotoGP action will begin a day earlier, with the first free Thursday at 09:55.
Hector BARBERA #8 / @HectorBarbera
Assen is one of big prizes more special for me because there I got my first podium in the World Cup and that you'll never forget. In Barcelona, we had the chance to demonstrate that we are the strongest in Open, but we let it escape. So we got to Holland with the same mentality and much more motivated. This week I've been training hard, but very differently from the usual aiming to be faster on the bike. The circuit of Assen is perfectly suited to my style and fast curves can very well go to our bike.
