Last GP of Qatar did not start all the well than expected for Héctor Barberá. The pilot of the Avintia Racing MotoGP suffered electronic problems during the dispute of the new classification system, what he did to get out from the twenty second position. This circumstance truncated their expectations to finish as the first CRT. Despite this, he managed a creditable tenth third position and third CRT in career.
"I am upset because the first training rode very little because we had an electronic problem. Everything comes from electronics, the mechanics of these bikes is not very complicated but electronics is new and gives problems. The second day we shot much, the bike worked well. The third day, the officer, had tests done and also tune the bike which is already complicated in itself. However we find that the bike wouldn't start and just tell three turns. Warm Up Sunday seemed we moved a little but in race, obviously leaving the twenty second, my goal to fight with the ART has been braking. Also in career they have benefited going with the Ducati of Spies, taking advantage of its rhythm and slipstream and I though I was in no man's land. I saw them away and it has been impossible to reach them. Today I am sure that if I would have gone near them could have endured them, I'm not saying be ahead, but at least there was battle. It's a shame because before going to dispute the race already had lost it, a combination of circumstances that have prevented that I could be where I was waiting. Despite all he has been so bad and good understanding I have with the team, and the work by both, we have saved the GP. We have scored and the difference with the ART is minimal. It must pass page and trust that this not us happen again."
