28/08/15 Avintia Racing MotoGP - GP of Great Britain - FP1-FP2
Grand Prix of Great Britain has begun in a positive way for the Avintia Racing team. In the morning both pilots have been testing different configurations on their bikes, but have not worked as they had hoped and have finished very late. But in the afternoon the team has worked hard to turn around the situation and immediately improved their records despite the wind that has blown forcefully in some parts of the Silverstone Circuit. Héctor Barberá finished the day 13 to 1.2s of the fastest, while Mike Di Meglio has been 19 º a little less than two seconds. The important thing is that both Hector and Mike have finished with good feelings and, above all, eager to continue tomorrow in timed workouts.
Hector BARBERA #8 / 13th (P1 Open) 2' 03.618 @HectorBarbera
I think that we have started well. This morning we have been doing tests with a bike with a shorter swingarm and the other with more closed steering angle. I've ridden in one and was uncomfortable and at the same... It was a test and it could work or not. In the afternoon we have returned to our bike and from the first exit to track I went faster. In addition we are working with some different things in electronics to try to be more consistent with the rhythm, I think we are well. We are in tenth third position, with any bike official behind and first Open, so, in general, it has been a positive day.
