The pilot of the team Avintia Racing, Héctor Barberá, has been the fastest in the Open category in qualifying practice for the Grand Prix of Italy today at Mugello. After working in the electronics of his Ducati Desmosedici GP14.1 Open during all the week-end the bike is grounded point-to-point race 23 laps in the morning. The Q1 has today had more motorcycles than usual factory included that of the champion of the world, Marc Márquez, who has not been able to pass cutting and morning share line of grill with Héctor Barberá and Erick Petrucci.
Three lines further back will depart his partner in team Avintia Racing, Mike Di Meglio. French has taken a step forward this weekend notably improving its feelings with the front end of his bike and tomorrow waiting to fight for points in the most important race of the season for Ducati.

I'm happy. At the end we have resolved many of the problems that we had. We have done a good job this weekend and we have prepared a good set-up for the race. Electronics is what was giving a bit of trouble in the last races and it seems that it has been resolved. We are preparing for the race tomorrow. Again, we are the first Open on the grill out and this is positive to get confidence. Here in Italy should do well because that is the home of Ducati. I have a good reference on Grill because they leave Marquez and Petrucci on the side, so you should make a good race.
